MY JOURNEY

Image
Wow !!! I cannot really believe that I have started writing blogs.I have always wondered, kids of my age, do so many wonders. Some become authors, some scientists, and a lot more.Even I wanted to do something extraordinary. So,I had started writing a book but sadly could not finish it.(it’s still lying incomplete in my tab). The pioneer of this journey was my mom. She came up with the idea to start writing blogs. She had a new concept which was to put days of the year since each day marks a special event we used to write about that event. I spent few days thinking doing research and I thought it might be a good idea.So I gave it a try.I wrote my first blog and I was really happy. Got good comments which inspired me for the second blog and then I decided to write few lines everyday. In my second blog on lions day I got one comment as ” I have seen lions very closely both in person and in Tv”.Even I wanted to see lions in person.Surprisingly, the next day my dad came up to know about

WORLD LION DAY-- AUGUST 10TH

Today, August 10 , is the day we should all appreciate this magnificent creature.Arguably, one of the most widely recognised animal in human culture, the lion has been  depicted in sculptures and paintings, on national flags, and in films and literature. This day's main purpose is to raise awareness on  this creature. More than 1000 of lions were killed in 2017 due to human activities. Do you know the price of 1 lion bone. Its more than 1 thousand dollars to say the least.A hundred years ago we think there were over a million lions. Today it is estimated that they are between 20,000 or 35,000 lions on this planet and only 2,000 lions left in the wild Kenya. How to celebrate lions day? The best thing to do is to spread awareness.Kids can draw pictures of lions though it will not look like a real one.How about putting a lion's photo in FB or setting it as your display pic. Good ideas...aren't they ??? Fun facts: In 1758, Carll Linnaeu
